Sapporo Odori Beer Garden Festival

Occasion: Sapporo Odori Beer Garden
When: July 21st - August 15th, 2011
Time: 12pm to 9pm
Venue: Odori Park 5 Chome to 11 Chome

It's all about the beer, beer, beer and BEER!! You heard me right.. Beer garden in Odori is definitely one of my highlights for the summer. (:

Obligatory description of the event for those that doesn't know about this event. See!! I can be nice too.. hehehe

Starting end of July, lasting for about 3 weeks or so, Odori Park transforms into a huge long Beer Garden where people can enjoy chilling out in the summer breeze enjoying a drink or 2 of delicious beer from major local brewery companies such as Asahi, Kirin, Sapporo Beer and Suntory. A part of Odori Park will also be dedicated to beer from all around the world as well as famously known German Beer Garden. It is an excellent way to spend your day unwinding from a day at work or even just having a little fun and laughter hanging out with friends.

I'll let the pictures below do all the talking (:

For all the first timers, I recommend you to start off your stroll to beer garden from the bottom of the Odori TV Tower. This is how one can enjoy seeing all the set ups of the Beer Garden from one brewery establishment to another. Get a feel of which crowd and ambience you like or.. if you just want to get straight to your favorite beer, you can also do that. BUT Hey!! Beer Garden is 3 weeks long!! Don't you want to get your hands on the other beers too??! hehehe

This is where it all began... Suntory Beer Garden, the first pit stop (:

The right thing to do next is to check out Kirin located in the next block of the park

the entrance to all beer lovers play land (:
Kirin is my favorite Beer Garden of all (:
Check out the super massive beer tower
that even the staff has problem lifting it up onto the table!!

is that awesome or is that awesome? You tell me!!
Kirin famous neon bar surrounding the pool..
that's what is super sonic cool to me! okay.. lame joke
Ocean of people with beer towers erected all over (:

What's the next right thing to do when you are in Sapporo? Drink Sapporo Beer of course!!

Haahaha.. are you tired yet? Well, it's my blog so of course i'm posting as much picture of the vain me!

Not my last but one of the very few.. sigh.. World Beer Garden Arena

Here, you can't play bartender cos they don't serve the beer in kegs or towers. They served you the beer as how you ordered off a bar. You get a choice of beer from countries like Denmark, German, Ireland, China, and many other brands of beer from all around the world. The atmosphere here is not as hectic and loud as the other beer arena. If you are looking for just a place to relax without the loud noisy scene and not having to shout on top of your lungs to talk to your friends, I do suggest you come to this part of the beer garden area. The beer is just as good but in a more calm and serene setting.

Great time with great frens
Cheers to all (:
